Views of Megawatt Valley

All remaining coal power stations in Britain will close by the year 2025. Over these final 4 years, and the years that follow, I will have created a lasting document of Megawatt Valley in the midst of, but also before and eventually after, significant change.

By displaying these images online I have unlimited space to work with, I am not limited by physical boundaries such as the pages of a book or the space of an exhibition. This method is one fit for our time but also one that will leave these images accessible for many years to come.

This project is pushed on by my belief in the photographs ability to document and record, this continually expanding sustainable archive is a visual record of a landscape in its final years.
